  19. Enforcer V37 - For 68020/68851, 68030, and 68040 CPUs
  20.  
  21. It requires V37 of the OS or better and does not have *any*
  22. exceptions in it for specific software.  Nothing should be causing
  23. Enforcer hits.
  24.  
  25. Requires an MMU.  On 68EC030 systems, it may think it is working
  26. even if it is not due to the fact that the missing MMU is very
  27. hard to detect.  Use LawBreaker to check.
  28.  
  29. This Enforcer has also been highly optimized to be as fast as
  30. possible.

  32. Enforcer can now also be used with CPU or SetCPU FASTROM or most
  33. any other MMU-Kickstart-Mapping tool.  This means that you do not
  34. have to give up your speed in order to use Enforcer.  (Major win
  35. on A2000 and A500 systems)

  37. Much more documentation and information provided.  Major new
  38. output options.  (Such as local output, STDOUT, and parallel
  39. port options...)

  52.     Added a new tool (and icon for it) called RebootOff.
  53.     This tool will automatically turn off Enforcer during a keyboard
  54.     reset on machines that support keyboard reset handlers.
  55.     It is mainly useful for the A3000 machines with SuperKickstart
  56.     and they support Keyboard Reset Handlers.  (This tool lets you
  57.     not cause a Kickstart reload on a keyboard reset...)

  59.     Well, with the fine help of Robert Chapman and his hardware
  60.     setup, I think I have finally cracked the last of the Enforcer OFF
  61.     problems.  I don't have all of the Amigas and configurations
  62.     available, so I have to use nice people to help test via long
  63.     distance.

  65.     Some more documentation changes...  Added the
  66.     Copyright link in the first page rather than
  67.     just in the index...

  69.     Updated the copyright notice in the executable to match
  70.     the documentation.

  72.     The NORELOADKICK option had to be removed.  Most (99%) of the
  73.     production A3000 machines with SuperKickstart would hang
  74.     so hard that you had to power-down the machine if you did
  75.     use this option.  Oh well, people wanted it but it is just
  76.     not possible.  Sorry...

  92.     Well, I did not have FindHit supporting all of the older
  93.     versions of SAS/C 5.x...  It seems that sometimes SAS/C 5.x
  94.     would not produce a 'LINE' debug hunk but would produce
  95.     an extended 'SRC ' hunk which included the data from the
  96.     'LINE' hunk is a new and magical way.  Anyway, FindHit
  97.     now knows about this form and will magically use that if no
  98.     'LINE' debug hunk is found.  A rather strange benefit to
  99.     this is that SAS/C 5.x would extend the file name with
  100.     the full path name in the 'SRC ' hunk.  This is not the case
  101.     with SAS/C 6.x as the path is relative to where you did the
  102.     compile.

  104.     Also added to the doc the fact that DICE also supports the
  105.     'LINE' debug hunk and works with FindHit.

  107. Changes from V37.42:

  109.     Added a patch to Alert() such that Enforcer can display
  110.     the alert in the Enforcer output stream (plus some more details)
  111.     and such that dead-end alerts can correctly shut down the
  112.     system and still be displayed as needed.  This does, however,
  113.     remove the flashing display of the recoverable alerts and
  114.     only display them in the Enforcer output.

  116.     Updated LawBreaker to also do an Alert such that the results
  117.     of an Alert can be seen by the user.
  118.  
  119.     Added a new tool:  FindHit
  120.     This tool will read executables and, if LINE debug
  121.     information is in it, will print the source file name
  122.     and line number of the hit.

  124.     LawBreaker executable now has LINE debug information
  125.     such that people can try FindHit.

  127.     Documentation changes and additions for FindHit and Alert patch

  129.     Enforcer now checks to make sure the argument to the
  130.     PRIORITY keyword is valid.  (Minor change)  Most
  131.     people should not be using this keyword.

  153.         correctly.  When Enforcer is running, the VBR is moved
  154.         and even interrupt vector poking should work just fine
  155.         without Enforcer hits.  Software that causes Enforcer
  156.         hits may not be able to run on future systems.  In fact,
  157.         such software may not even run on current systems.
